Organization of the Week: The Friends of the Gamble House
Every Monday, I highlight a non-profit related to history or the arts, a historical society, preservation group or friends group whose main objective is to promote the historical and artistic history of New Jersey and beyond.
This week, I am featuring the Friends of the Gamble House, a nonprofit support group of the University of Southern California, which provides financial support to the historic Gamble House in Pasadena, California. The Friends develop educational programming, sponsor the annual Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship for two upper-division students of the University of Southern California School of Architecture, and volunteer as tour guides in the home.
The Friends of the Gamble House rely on memberships, fundraising, and countless volunteers to continue its mission. For more information on programs and special events hosted by the Friends of the Gamble House or to become a member or volunteer, please call 626-793-3334 or visit www.gamblehouse.org.
