Let Mom know just how special she is by treating her to a memorable Mother’s Day at Acorn Hall on Sunday, May 11 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. The Morris County Historical Society (MCHS) is pleased to host Patricia Sanftner for a special lecture on American Brilliant Cut Glass at 1:30 pm, followed by a dessert reception in Acorn Hall’s extraordinary dining room. Tours of Acorn Hall are also included in the cost of admission. Ms. Sanftner is the guest curator for the new MCHS exhibit “Sharp Edges, Brilliant Cut Glass through the Centuries” opening early May through June 8, 2014. Seating is limited and reservations are suggested. Please call 973-267-3465 for more information. The Oak Leaf Gallery gift shop is also available with a wide assortment of unique gifts for Mother’s Day and all occasions.

Admission to the Mother’s Day event is $10.00 for MCHS members, $15.00 for non-MCHS members, and children under age 12 are free. The admission price may be applied toward membership with the MCHS.
The Morris County Historical Society, founded in 1946, is a member-supported, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Its headquarters, Acorn Hall, is an Italianate Villa mansion open to the public on Wednesdays and Thursdays (11:00 am - 4:00 pm) and Sundays (1:00 - 4:00 pm).
