Saturday ,  January 29 Paterson Poetry Workshop at The Paterson Museum Virtual Program Word Seed, Inc. and the Paterson Museum are teaming up to present a Paterson Poetry Workshop Series. Join us on Saturday for the next workshop in our series, Your Voice Matters. The virtual workshop will take place between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. This free program, which is open to poets of all ages, is presented and led by Paterson’s Poet Laureate Talena Lachelle Queen. Whether you actively write poetry or are just interested in learning more about how to find your own poetic voice, this interactive workshop will help you develop your art. Participants may have some of their words selected to be included in an upcoming poetry exhibit at the Museum. Saturday - Sunday ,  January 22 - 23  - Upper Freehold, Monmouth County Wallpaper in Early America View samples of early American wallpaper designs including several patterns that decorated walls in the Walns’ elegant home.   This free event runs from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. While there, tour the large, elegant Walnford home built in 1774, the 19th century gristmill, and the farm buildings set in a beautiful landscape. Walnford is located at 62 Walnford Road, 08501. Saturday ,  January 15   - Atlantic City, Atlantic County Absecon Lighthouse's 165th Birthday Family Friendly A bsecon Lighthouse, New Jersey’s tallest and the country’s third tallest masonry light, is celebrating the 165th anniversary of the lighting of its historic first-order Fresnel Lens, first lit on January 15, 1857.   We normally attract a crowd with free cake and climbs, but this year, we need to stay safe, and so we’re hosting a “Facebook Live” Climb at 1:30 pm. Sit back and relax while you pretend to climb a lighthouse!  In-person guests will also be treated to a “2-4-1” climbing special on Saturday. The lighthouse is open  from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, with the last climb 1/2 hour before closing. In honor of Atlantic City’s beloved oldest structure, we are accepting donations to keep this iconic light shining, to be mailed to 31 South
