Cape May MAC Announces Cancellations Offering Virtual Tours of Physick House Museum, Cape May Lighthouse Cape May MAC (Museums+Arts+Culture), previously known as the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), announces that its tours, activities and events have been cancelled until further notice, in view of the continuing effect of COVID-19 restrictions on travel to the Cape May region and on the organization’s operations. “We view the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff, volunteers, and business partners as the highest priority as we all respond to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Director and CEO Jody Alessandrine. “We look forward to resuming our regular schedule of tours, activities and events once we can safely open our doors to the public in good conscience. Cape May will be surely ready for visitors when that time comes.”

Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) announces name change to ‘Cape May MAC (Museums+Arts+Culture)’ as cornerstone of organization’s new brand The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) announces that beginning March 27 and culminating with a new website on April 1, the organization will launch a new brand that includes a new name, logo, and website. Part of its 50th anniversary year celebration, MAC announces its new name “Cape May MAC (Museums+Arts+Culture)” March 27 and will continue to launch elements of the new brand in the subsequent days, culminating in the launch of the organization’s new website on April 1.

We’ll consider the resonance of this play in the Elizabethan era as Shakespeare’s contemporaries considered the loss of a long-reigning monarch and again in the Revolutionary War as General Washington eschewed a potential military dictatorship in favor of civilian rule by Congress.
